Peter Brooks directed Steel Magnolias, and what a triumph it was, six outstanding actresses, really did make it feel like a hairdressing Salon, with all the gossip and gab these southern friends enjoyed, Shelby the youngster in their midst, on the edge of marriage played by Alexandra Ward in her debut at The Salon, really excelled, as did he real life Mum Wendy Ward, seen and loved in many a production , Maggie Dobson the dry Clairee, Mo Pairman the eccentric Ouiser, Catrina Helsby the timid new girl in town and Lizz Freeman all did great things to ensure this perfect production was slick and professional.

Not a dry eye in the house for the closing scenes, so job well done to Peter Brooks cast and crew of Steel Magnolias.
