CAROUSEL

Carousel was a major event in The Salons Calendar, Rodgers and Hammerstein at their all time best, the show was abound with so many wonderful songs, and the characters were so true to the story, With John David Gale in the lead as Billy Bigelow, showing all the charisma of a showman, Deborah Dietl made a sweet Julie with a voice to match, Brendan Tansley showed a great voice and comedic side as Mr Snow, and Sandra Kinsella in her debut in Musical Theatre, was a delightful Carrie, Peter Geldard as Jigger the perfect bad apple was great, Gina Foster played Mrs Mullin the hard faced carousel owner with a heart of gold. The Chorus girls shone and the boys were macho, the dances choreographed by Peter Height were as usual energetic and breathtaking, so Mr Peter Mitchell walked away a delighted man, as did the audiences, another feather in the cap of The Salon all thanks to the cast and crew who made the show such a memorable occasion.
